Powerful and Easy-to-Use Selection of Gen 2 RFID Readers

Alien Technology provides an array of high-performance, flexible EPC Gen 2 RFID readers that are easy to deploy and manage. The Alien line encompasses readers compliant with U.S., European and Asian regulations, all based on a common software interface to maximize return on investment and to speed implementation.

The line is supported by key RFID software platforms including Microsoft BizTalk RFID, IBM WebSphere, Oat Systems, Oracle, GlobeRanger, BEA and others. Proven support for SAP through middleware is also available. A well-documented SDK featuring .NET and Java libraries enables easy, custom interfaces to control the reader if desired.

Alien continues to invest in reader signal processing advancements such as Intelligent Tag Radar™ (ITR) to make RFID more useful and valuable to end users.  ITR™ is a technology that enables the reader to not only know what data is in a tag, but to know where the tag is and where it is going.  This enables the RFID system to enhance a number of foundation applications of Gen 2 RFID, and will open up many new applications and sources of ROI for users. 

Demonstrated at RFID Journal Live 2008, ITR is another example of Alien’s leadership in RFID technology that started with the first EPC-compliant readers and tags and continues today with a stream of innovation that enables a growing number of ROI-generating applications of Gen 2 RFID.  Look for new products based on ITR later this year.

	ALR-9900 High Performance, Easy to Integrate, Easy to Manage The Alien ALR-9900 Enterprise RFID reader enables users to deploy manageable, robust, best-in-class RFID solutions for demanding supply chain, manufacturing and asset management applications. Based on the popular ALR-9800, the ALR-9900 adds enhanced interference rejection, monostatic antenna connections and a much smaller footprint. The ALR-9900 delivers high read rates in demanding applications in an easy-to-integrate, easy-to-manage package.
	ALR-9800 Reliable, Cost Effective Choke Point Solution The ALR-9800 enables cost-effective, high-read-rate RFID solutions for dock doors, conveyors and other choke points using 2-4 antennas.
	ALR-8800 High Performance European Solution The ALR-8800 enables manageable, high-performance RFID solutions across over 30 countries in Europe, New Zealand, South Africa and selected parts of Asia. Compliant with the EN 302-208 and EN 300-220 ETSI Regulations, the ALR-8800 provides flexible performance for supply chain, manufacturing and asset management applications.
	ALR-9650 Ideal Single-Antenna Solution Enabling Low System Costs The ALR-9650 is the ideal solution for single-antenna RFID systems reading moderate numbers of tags. An integrated antenna and power-over-Ethernet (POE) support enable very low system cost and a small installation footprint suitable for indoor asset tracking, access control and POS applications. An additional second antenna port enables cost-effective, 2-antenna applications.
	ALX-9010 Portal High performance, Gen 2 RFID reader housed in accessible, rugged, low-profile frame The Alien series of portal appliances provides a complete, easy-to-install, dock-door solution in a durable, serviceable package.
