Alien Technology® Showcases ROI for RFID at EPC Connection 2007
RFID Innovator to Deliver Keynote, Host Breakout Session, Exhibit Products and Services, Present RFID ROI Partner Demonstrations
September 24, 2007, Chicago, IL. – Alien Technology, an industry leader in Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) products and services, today announced their involvement in EPC Connection 2007, running October 2 – 4 in Chicago, Ill. Alien will be displaying their portfolios of tags, readers and services at the event, as well as highlighting partner and customer success.
EPC Connection will deliver the largest audience of end users, systems integrators, distributors and resellers focused on leveraging EPC technology through the collaborative efforts of EPC Global, the leading standards body on EPC and RFID Journal, the leading RFID media and events company. Alien will play a leadership role at the event, providing industry education, vision and updates.

at 9:30 a.m. EDT in the North ballroom #21/34
Victor Vega, director of technical marketing, will host a breakout session on October 3 at 11:50 a.m. EDT. The session, entitled "Implementing Solutions for Common RFID Challenges,“ will focus on a few of the more common RFID implementation issues needing consideration prior to a typical RFID pilot deployment.
On October 4, Vega will present a session on the same topic at the Microsoft pavilion, booth #400 at 12:00 p.m. EDT.
On the tradeshow floor: Hands-on education, tangible ROI
Alien will also be showing its products and services on the exhibit floor,
as well as partner and customer successes.
The activities planned for Alien’s booth #415 are the following:
- Exhibit the full line of Alien products and services
- Demo Alien’s patented Fluidic Self Assembly (FSA™) process. All members of the Alien tag family are manufactured using the FSA™ process, which delivers high inlay volumes at low unit costs.
- Exhibit the training courses and professional services at RFID Solutions Center in Dayton, Ohio (RSC). The RSC is a division of Alien Technology and is an EPCglobal-accredited performance test center. RSC comprises of over 21,000 square feet of educational research and development, and real-world implementation resources designed to enable the global RFID community to learn, collaborate, pilot, and implement RFID systems. More than 3000 people from over 700 companies have received training and services support from RSC and the Alien Academy.
- Alien will host the RFID ROI Partner Solutions Demonstration Area, located
at booth #324. Strategic Alien partners IBM, Intel, Microsoft and Xterprise,
and leading RFID end users, will conduct ten demonstrations of partner
RFID applications at the booth.
