Alien Technology® Teaming With u-IT Cluster To Provide RFID Services In Korea
September 27, 2006, Morgan Hill, Calif. – Alien Technology Corporation today announced that it has signed a memo of understanding with u-IT Cluster, a RFID organization under the Korean government’s National Computerization Agency, whereby the two organizations will collaborate to provide RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) education and consulting services for the Korean and Asian markets
Under the memorandum, the RFID Solutions CenterSM Dayton, a division of Alien Technology, and u-IT Cluster will work together on an RFID education program utilizing the u-IT Cluster Center facilities in SongDo Incheon City, Korea. The program is modeled on the popular Alien® RFID Academy, which since 2002 has graduated more than 1,800 individuals representing over 600 commercial and governmental organizations around the world. The Academy offers both fundamental and advanced hands-on courses for optimizing RFID implementations and helping to maximize their ROI. Alien and u-IT Cluster will also explore opportunities for exchanging personnel, information and publications and for engaging in joint seminars and RFID development projects in Korea.
