Alien Technology® Announces Alliance with Oracle on RFID Initiatives
August 2, 2005, Morgan Hill, CA — Alien Technology today announced an alliance with Oracle establishing Alien as a partner in Oracle's Sensor-Based Services initiatives, including support for integration of Alien's new ALR-9800 Enterprise RFID Reader with the Oracle® Sensor Edge Server including Oracle Warehouse Management, Oracle EPC Compliance Enabler and other RFID-enabled solutions. Alien is a Certified Partner in the Oracle PartnerNetwork.
Oracle's Sensor-Based Services, which utilize Oracle Database 10g, Oracle Application Server 10g, Oracle Enterprise Manager 10g and Oracle E-Business Suite, turn the data collected by RFID tags and other sensors into real information and intelligence that can be used to optimize business processes and gain competitive advantage within the enterprise.
